James C. Pullin for Amherst City Council

James C. Pullin
James C. Pullin, 36, a life-long resident of Amherst, is the single father of two children.
If elected to council, Pullin plans to research the city's standard operating procedures for all departments. “The (Standard Operating Procedures) are essential in determining if departments are operating at their peak efficiency and if they are being cost effective with their procedures,” he said.
Also, Pullin plans to find funding to add sidewalks around Nord Middle School and biking lanes along North Main Street and Middle Ridge Road.
Pullin said voters should elect him because he welcomes the chance to give back to the community he has spent his entire life in. With 15 years of experience with the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission dealing with roadway maintenance, major construction renovations, contract negotiations, union relations, public safety and budgeting, Pullin believes he can benefit Amherst residents.
“The only true agenda I have for running is to help the city be the best it can in hopes our kids, and one day grandkids, can enjoy as much as we have.”
